Here is a new honor system for League of Legends:

The image explains it all. But here is a text recap:

You have a “level” for honor. You start at zero, which is NEUTRAL. Then, by getting honored at the end of the game, you move up the honor levels, by being reported you move down the levels.

There are +4 levels up and -4 levels down.

Matchmaking will favor matching you with players (both teams) of your honor level and those who are a level over and under your current level (to have a bit of room).

If you don't get honored or reported for a while, you will slowly return to the neutral state. Players reporting others abusively, or reporting players falsely will lose honor also. Screen flairs will still be shown for players who received a high amount of honor on their previous game. But your level of honor will not be shown to other players, unless they look at your profile as a friend. Lastly, you will be allowed to honor multiple players at the end of the game, but honoring friends will have little to almost no impact.

This way, toxic players will tend to play together and well mannered and team spirited players will play together. Also, players having a negative honor level will know it and will have the choice to change their behavior or to continue playing with other toxic players… which they might actually enjoy.

First: The current honor system is fine, why in the world would Riot make another one?

Second: Riot is explicitly against any kind of Prisoner's Island scenario with toxic players, which is precisely what yours is.

i mean...its nice being matched with good teamates, but once you start pairing the toxic players theyll just get even more toxic and probably quit. also, thats recognizing bad behavior, its like giving a kid a sticker for being bad. while this will discourage some players, others will embrace it. this is bad for marketing as well as the many of the players(granted...its a good deal for honored players)

riot has already said they wont want a "prisoner's island". and i agree with them.

why show them to make them face even more toxic player.. they will never reform that way... ban their ass; when they get unbanned. hopefully they learned thier lesson.. if not? permaban.

i have little tolerance for people who act like (or are) jerks.

bans work.. because they either reform when they come back.. or they don't reform.. and arn't allowed back again.

a prisoner's island system woudl only put toxic people with more toxic people, and the toxicity in those games would be horrendous for anyone to play. just ban thier ass.

Ok, so from what I read, this would be better? Or not even?

I like the idea of rating all non-party players (ally and enemy) based on performance, not "honor".

I don't care if the player is nice, I just care about winning/losing... and until they can implement an accurate calculation of individual skill, they won't be able to fix matchmaking.

Anyways, maybe all of you are right... but the whole idea behind this is simply for players to share the same gaming experience that they value and practice.

Players who like being salty, getting in personal fight and arguments, like to rage quit or play as lone wolves will play with other players that share the same value system. People who like to be polite, friendly , sportsmanlike and that value a team effort will play with other players that share the same value.

So it's more about playing with people that resemble you.

And then, if you think being toxic is not good because since you started playing with other toxic people you win less... then stop being toxic. You honor level should reflect this eventually (if it is well done).

And if playing with team players, team oriented and polite players results in you losing more games, well, start being self centered and toxic and go play with others like you... maybe it's your thing!

Yes that's it. That is the idea, find your perfect environment for gaming. Like in Star Wars: choose the light or the dark side.

Some people like the dark side, some the light. Your choice.
