I was 1/2/0 in the mid lane, losing in CS, extremely tilted

I felt like both of my deaths had been complete bullsh*t and I'd raged in the chat on both occasions--not flaming anyone, just dishing out random cuss words.

Our top lane Darius came down and helped me kill my enemy laner.

I say "thanks".

He says "np buddy" "you got this".

That changed my entire attitude. And suddenly I realized we were actually doing pretty well as a team, and all hope wasn't lost. I was just too consumed by frustration to keep my head clear.

I ended the game 9/2/11. I just wanna say thanks to this Darius for taking the time to leave his lane and get me back in the game mentally. I honestly think I would've been too tilted to win lane and would've fed the rest of the game if he hadn't helped me out. His actions might have even been the reason we won that game.

He could have just muted me. But he didn't. He realized all I needed was a little boost in confidence...and experience. Thank you Darius.

I had a bad Sona game the other day. My Vayne basically told the salty jungler to stop raging at me because she needed me then took blame for the state of our lane even if it was clearly my fault. That made me untilt and play a lot better late game. I also became solidly dedicated to protecting that Vayne in team fights. Positive attitudes do a lot.

League needs more people like this. I hope you thanked him personally.

Tilt loses games and makes League harder to enjoy. Good job not tilting, and props to your teammate for being a bro about it.

This reminds me of when I had a Lucian Blitz bot against my Jhin and my friend's Sona, if we got hooked we'd instantly die so we were losing cs like mad and I was getting tilted that the Lee wouldn't gank ever (even when the enemy was at our tower, half hp, and he was full hp and next to us while I was begging him with pings) so I asked him if he hated me, I then ignored it and focused on just trying to catch up and not die.

Basically we lost, game went poorly, everyone blamed me for everything even if there was nothing I could do, and the zed mid who never roamed bot told me to kill myself at the end of the game.

What does this story mean? It means that people are assholes and it's good that the OP met someone who wasn't being prickish.

EDIT: also now I can definitely just imagine Dar coming into his lane, dunking his lane opponent and walking back casually saying 'you got this' like some kind of superhero, reminded me of the Dar animation.

##Imagine if the situation went like this:

Then the ENEMY Darius came mid to gank for me, giving me two kills and instantly improving my mood. I said: "Thanks". He said: "np buddy, you got this".

I played a ranked game yesterday as Nautilus top. I was finishing up a comment on the boards as I loaded into the game so I quickly bought and started heading out. I then went back and sold my relic shield...

Team was nice the whole time, even though I gave first blood to their Wu top (At least I stayed alive for the first 10 minutes or so on nothing but 4 potions and a control ward) and I wasn't very impactful for most of the early game. They pulled attention to their lanes and let me freeze multiple waves until I was pretty close to Wu in farm.

I was never that useful other than as an ult bot to lock down their Jinx, and I ended up building mostly support items due to a lack of gold. Our other lanes didn't even stomp and yet we still won because my allies held off until I was in a good enough position to team fight. They weren't even being super positive or cheerful, they just did their jobs and didn't complain about me fucking up my job.

In the end we won due to teamwork and my team trusting me to fulfill my job if they gave me a bit of breathing room. That is the key to success.

Yeah, that happens.

One time I was mid and banned the top laner's Yasuo cause he was being toxic in lobby. He picked Darius, said he was gonna feed, so I helped him on his lane and after a while he apologized and said he had a rough day and he played really well later and I had a great time.

Weird when it happens but awesome.

Doozku5/22/2017, 10:39:31 PM4 votes

Was playing this one game where I wanted to pick Yasuo but our Yi jg banned Yasuo and told me to pick a real toplaner. When I commented on the fact that he was picking Yi when he banned Yasuo he told me to go lick carpet. I picked Vayne top because I wanted to pick a "real toplaner" but I managed to win lane super hard and I kept saying in the chat that our Yi was an inspiration to us and a great player. He eventually became super nice and gave me red and blue buff, and then apologized for banning Yasuo. Both him and me got super fed that game and carried our team to victory.

Go play top lane for a bit and you'll know what tilt really is. 2v1 against laner and enemy jg is frustrating, even more so when your team refuses to take objectives or apply pressure on other parts of the map. if you think youre going to get help from your team youre wrong, all you can hope for is they dont get rift herald and take your top lane inhib since your team is too busy doing nothing about it.

Difference is, you only went 1/2, my bot lanes go 0/5-8, before i hit level 6, 3/4 games.

with a username like yours, I'd think one stiff breeze in the wrong direction would turn your table.

So strange how polite Darius was.

Just Blame Jenny5/23/2017, 2:02:35 AM3 votes

This right here is why I'm always positive, even if I (secretly) think my laners are trash and that we're going to lose.

No turnaround ever happened when players didn't have their heads in the game. If there's a chance, even a faint inkling of one, it's important everyone remain cool in order to seize it.

If I have anything negative to say, I save it for the post game lobby, and even then I only direct it toward toxic players. Too much toxicity never did anyone good. Though sometimes, jerks gotta be called out on being jerks. Just don't do it in game, since that helps no one.

We need more players like good guy Darius here

So did you win your game?

Do you remember his actual summoner name? lol

KoKoboto5/23/2017, 12:08:16 AM2 votes

What champion were you playing?

Tobias Brackner5/22/2017, 8:11:29 PM2 votes

Muting is the best option. I've had games where any kind of encouragement is met by hostility.

I prefer to mute then report.

Aria Storm5/23/2017, 6:36:34 PM2 votes

In all honesty, if you start tilting after only two deaths, you should probably reevaluate yourself? I'm not trying to shit on you, Sometimes you just get tilted, but 2 deaths shouldn't really be the line imo. Personally, in many cases, my deaths aren't what tilts me, but my allies feeding my lane opponents do more to achieve this.

That being said, it is good when tilted people get back on track. Earlier this morning, I wanted to goof off and go adc rakan. Elise jungle got so mad at me because I was losing lane and bot was feeding. Later she realized it wasn't me that was feeding (I died to first blood, but didn't die again for another 20+ minutes) but the support was.

She was chewing me out on losing lane, and the other lanes started losing a bit because my support went afk.

But I remained silent, farmed, and suddenly, I was 1v1ing almost anyone on their team and killing them. We were winning team fights, I was taking their damage out of the fights, catching people out, etc. Suddenly, I was legendary, we were turning a 4v5 around and while the Elise never apologized to me, for calling me an idiot for doing adc rakan, she did tell me go and that she hoped that I got my S score.

My team did try to surrender a couple times, I'm glad that they refused, because even though we were losing for a while, we came back. We came back, eventually the support came back, although we were already winning teamfights, so he didnt really change the tides, and kn the end, we won.

And apparently, Rakan adc can work.

Edit: actually, now that I think about it, I don't think we would have won had a gone a classic adc.
