Just got glitched out of my series

I was in series and I started a ranked game with a friend. We get a match, both accept, but only one of us makes it into champ select (my friend).

So I get a message from him saying "aren't you gonna ban someone"? But I'm looking at the home screen. I was able to view my profile and everything as if I wasn't in a game, but apparently I was. So after a while I "dodged" and there goes my series. What is this bullshit. I want my series back.
