@riot why is autofill happening when I Q as fill

I consistently Q as fill to help prevent people on my team from being dumped into roles that they did not ask for.

About 80% of the time I'm support and the rest of the time I'm usually jungle. When I'm not dumped into support though I hear people in champ select groan about being auto filled into support.

Why does that happen? That doesn't seem like it makes sense in a game with over a million players on it and probably 20000 Qing in my range at the same time.

because last season a lot of people who played fill were complaining that they ended up being filled into support 99.5% of the time.

Im just thinking why is it when...

Player 1 is jungle mid Me is fill

Why am I jungle and he gets put as support. Like I already know I'm gonna be support most the time just give it me. Let me be LoLjesus

Because if it did that then everyone who picked fill would play support 99.5% of the time and a lot of them don't like that.

People generally pick fill not because they want to make sure no one else has to be autofilled but because they want variety in their role assignments.

If you want to do as much as possible to prevent people from being autofilled, just pick support.

They should call it random then. Fill could give people the wrong Idea. I'm sure I'm not the only person who picks fill for this reason
