So, I play a lot of sona with Aery.
Why?
Well, on allies, sona's aura causes Aery to give them a shield. So Q W and E are all spitting out shields on AoE.
That struck me as strange, because offensively, aery only procs on one enemy at a time, but on allies, it procs on every ally in the aura. This is busted af, but i love it.
Do you think this is intentional or a bug?
It's intentional, Aery procs off any ally interaction. It also procs off things like J4's flag aura and Ryze's ult teleport. Basically if you can impact an ally it procs Aery on them.
What does it matter? Her bubbles (which are NOT auras, btw) are still melee-range, despite being the squishiest character in League. Her numbers are still worst-in-class across her entire kit. Her power budget is still 99% funneled into rank 3 R-passive.
Shielding multiple allies (which is realistically impossible with her 400-range bubbles) for 30 points (which is sadly higher than her own shield) for a measly 2 seconds (which is sadly longer than her own shield, also,) doesn't miraculously change the FACT that she's the weakest character in League.
Ignore the #SaveSona2015 “Sona Main” player, and enjoy the multiple shields for now. Sounds like a big since Aery is only supposed to shield or dmg one ally or enemy at a time, but maybe Riot won’t notice? (Keep it on the low and maybe Sona’s buff for next patch won’t be removed).
