It's only carrying if you were going to lose the game
Ever since I learned the fundamentals of the game (I've always been pretty bad, but it's starting to sink in), I finally decided to pick back up my absolute favorite champion, Ahri. With all the game knowledge I have acquired, stepping back into the shoes of someone I know 100% like the back of my hand has really been amazing. I hit all my skills, I never lose lane. I didn't play her at all for over a year but I picked her back up the other day and haven't lost a game with her.
There were two games that stand out as crucial tho. A game where a jarvan and ryze duo absolutely destroyed my whole team, with a combined 47 kills or something (and that's probably a low-ball figure). And the game I just had.
In each game, I was ahead, but the other team was more ahead than me. Last game I was 5/0 after 10 minutes and stayed that way, but we had no tank (rip). What I did was cover every single lane. And with good pings and communication, kept my teammates heads in the game because they could see that even tho they were all behind, I was still not giving up my advantage. Still able to kill crucial targets. Still able to deny baron and towers. In each game, someone who was behind all game became my siege engine later in the game because I wouldn't allow them to stop tryharding. I encouraged a TEEMO to not give up, as well as a xayah. And once I finally got us in a position to ace, we ended the game right then each time. You can never carry 100% alone. It takes encouragement of the one person that you know that no matter how bad they've been playing, if they're alive when I get my ace, we win.
I've never peeled so hard for two people. I didn't even carry the TEAM. I just lifted up a stranger I knew I could use to win the game. My 100% winrate on ahri endures!
