But there are only two viable AP Defensive Items in the game.

I kinda wish there would be more, but when I try and look up for armor items, I find...

I think the 3 MR tank items are actually stronger than the armor items due to their passives. If you think they are bad, just look at the image I linked in the other post. You can't tell me that MR items are bad when I am able to mitigate 233k damage in 34 minutes. That is 144 damage per second that I didn't take. I'm not saying more variety of items is a bad thing because sometimes the 3 passives are too situational to be made use of, but to say that they need a buff is a lie.

Yup. Terrible and lacking MR Items + Voidstaff existing invalidates Tanks. Yes they can become unkillable...against AD Champs, since they have very good and cheap Items. MR Items are more expensive AND worse, since most of the budget gets eaten, hillarious enough, by the HP Regen provided.

in terms of resistances on a single item alone.
A good strategy to use gargoyle is to build 
with it so that you can walk up, use the active to survive whatever burst is gonna come to you, then regen it all back while the fight continues without you for a bit.
