The impact of Leavers/AFKs/Rage Quits

I really wish Riot would implement something that lessened the impact of loss that happens to the team with a disconnected person, whether it be an AFK or legitimate disconnect. Personally, I'm tired of losing games because someone just can't connect (because the servers have been getting worse and worse recently it seems) or because someone is being childish and rage quitting. Granted, these kinds of games will come up, but I'm really tired of losing so many points during Ranked due to these games. If I took out the amount of games I've lost or won because of an afk on either side I'd be high Gold right now. I'm just saying, give the team with the major disadvantage some kind of leeway. There is a big difference between doing bad during a game and losing, than losing to something you can't control.
