A newbie (actually lvl 23, but whatever) needs help

I just bought Zed, and I would really like to learn how to play him. However, he is pretty difficult to use, none of my friends play him, and practicing against bots (too easy) and other players (too difficult) seem ineffective. Thats why I would like to get some help from the online LoL community. I would like some tips on how to play him as a new champion, and I would really appreciate if someone could show me how to use him effectively in game. Also, most of the guides on YouTube are outdated. My username is KMichael48. Thanks

Play him in customs vs players people generally don't tryhard in customs

Hey, you should honestly check out Remercy's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Redmercy

He makes really good tips and tricks/guides for Zed since he mains him :P
He goes over builds, runes and masteries, and some of his Zed game commentaries have examples of what you should do as Zed in the Early, mid, and late game.

I learns most of what I know of Zed from him and a few other YouTube videos. I also have a friend who did a few 1v1 matches with me so I can really learn who to play Zed.

Just an FYI, some of his videos that are a year or older might have some errors because of patches and whatnot. Generally thought his videos are solid for Zed knowledge, and mid lane knowledge.
