Why haven't we done something about this?

I've been stuck in silver for a while now. While there are many contributing factors, I believe that I would be in gold if it weren't for afks. I'm sure this is the case for many other players out there, and after just playing with an afk fizz who came back at the end to prevent leaver buster or whatever, I came here to vent. I have had 2 afks in the past 5 games, which means 2 losses I couldn't do anything about. Some people call it bad luck, but I would call it a dumb system when it comes to afk people. Why can't teams with an afk receive a reduced lp loss or lp loss prevention? I know this has come up a lot on the boards, but Riot doesn't do anything about it. I'm scared to press the play button out of fear I will (feed) get another afk. I do it anyways because I enjoy this game, and ranked and climbing is what makes it fun for me. But I can't do that if Riot doesn't fix this issue. . Reporting them does nothing. Does that bring back the lp I lost for a dumb reason? No. And after their ban, if they even get one, they will continue to ruin this game for others. As I said before, put a reduced lp loss system into place. Please please please please. Tldr: We need reduced lp loss for teams with an afk.

Dude...you are still silver after almost 1,2k ranked games. How can you seriously lie so bad to yourself that you "would be in gold if it weren't for afks"? I mean c'mon we all have bad games or losing streaks, sometimes because we suck ourselves and sometimes because someone is afk or trolling. But over 1k games? You can't be serious about this. You belong in silver. And unless you are willing to improve yourself you will never leave this elo.

you literally get a free win every time you fail promos. being stuck in silver is no ones fault but your own.

That said, i've had my fair share of afks also. But its so rare, if you're having them a lot. I don't know what to say to you.

AFKers have no influence on your rank. Because if u look at big picture, you will play more games against team with afker than you would have afker in your team. Reason why u lose normal amount of LP when u have afker is because u gain normal amount when u play against afker. It all balances overall. In fact it goes in your favor as long as u never afk.
