Akali's ult range finally gutted on PBE
Finally her ult range is not ridiculously long, now it is possible to flash out of her bullshit ult.

I believe that is just a bug with her unleveled R.
When you actually level up and put a point in her ult the range indicator seems normal and can be used at that range.

The range is as small at the platform? Honestly she needed a nerf, But as OP said that's being gutted not nerfed. One of two things will happen.
- She's going to get something for that big a hit.
- She will no longer be played. Having a gap closer that small is just sad. Let's be real here akali NEEDS the gap closer or every mid and there mother can just kite her. Meaning she has lost the assassin part of being a assassin. No longer able to jump on a squishy (which is her job) and can't live though a teamfight against any team that knows what they are doing. (And in the mobility meta this is even bigger.)

As a person who likes playing Akali: This is kinda nice actually. My only curiosity is if there's a power redistribution. NOT THAT THERE NEEDS TO BE, I'm just curious if it's a straight nerf or not. I'm fine with it either way because the old dash range was, to put it bluntly, really freaking stupid. If this is actually the case anyway.

Although I'd love if her mark didn't have an uptime as long as the actual cooldown as well. This will have to suffice I guess. It has been so long that Akali went unchecked for no other reason than no one actually wanting to pick her up.
She will most likely get and need some power elsewhere though. Wouldn't surprise me if she got her shroud defenses back.

I used to main akali until I decided she was just too unfair in solo queue. After seeing this I'm never going to play her again. That is a horrible nerf, she's going to up on the urgot level, this is just plain trash.

Oh wait, I get it, your one of those bronze noobs who pushes too far, solo roams jungles without vision control, can't glance at map inbetween cs and in general, stays in lane at under 50% health along with no disipline of saving hard cc in team fights then bitches about akali requiring no skill and being op cause you get shit on for being retarded and no sense or respect of zone control cause you think akalis r has the same range as her shroud.

My favorite noob destroyer spot is a ward (apparently 75g is too much for bronzes to spend on anything but more damage) on the raptor camp than r in from across trees on their jungles cause paying attention to lanes is just too fucking hard

Akali wasn't overpowered, she could be shut down ridiculously hard pre six, what was overpowered are the ITEMS that can give ANY champion that far behind a feat much higher back into the game.

That range just hurts to look at. Decrease the range, fine, but by that much? Seriously?? What's to stop her from being kited by just about everyone now? How about decreasing the ult range by a little bit, and nerfing the damage on her Q proc?
No it's not, it's a glitch. There are no notes whatsoever of Akali nerfs on PBE. Sorry guys, but it is just a glitch, when you get lvl 6 it shows the real range.
