Riot could learn a lot from the phrase "first, do no harm."

"given an existing problem, it may be better not to do something, or even to do nothing, than to risk causing more harm than good."

LoL would be 100x better if they kept their hands off the wheel way more often. The decisions regarding balance just keep making this game worse and worse. Letting the players adapt would be much better than flipping every switch within reach and hoping it fixes something while screwing up a million other things.
