Why isn't ad braum a thing xD
stuns on aa, a shield to stop some of that poke damage, knockup/slow, why is this guy not an ad toplaner or something xD

When he was first released, I remember people trying stuff like that and having mediocre success. You could always try it.
He's been done competitively as a jungler. Its really really bad in terms of clear time. But it can be done.

I don't own braum ,watced the kshaway vid and thought 'this lookslike it could actually work' xD panth is great but renek is forced to become aoe tank later on which is cool, but zac/maokai/malphite do it a lot better
Braum's Concussive Blows, Winter's Bite, and Glacial Fissure all deal AP damage. Stand Behind Me scales off of his bonus armor and magic resist. Braum's entire thing is protecting somebody else, you lose that when you go top. As well as this, a lot of common top laners will absolutely cream him early game (like 
). Just cuz Kshaway does a trolly video doesn't mean it's actually viable. Even in that video the amounts of damage he did were very small for an AD-built champion. The joke with Kshaway videos is 'this shouldn't have worked, but here it did'.
Anything works in bronze. When i was new i got beat by a braum top. I can't believe i admitted that
Because as a melee champion he's immobile, reliant on his Q landing, kiteable, building him AD makes him squishy, and will die very quickly in team fights with any amount of coordination making him ineffective. He also won't be able to tank for the team like he does when built as a support tank.
He might be able to 1v1 but beyond that he has no escapes, no gap closer, and really just becomes a burden in team fights outside of straight up cheese. His defensive abilities do not protect Braum.
