Thank you for autofill

And I mean that sincerely. Since it's implementation, this board has had its fair share of whine threads about it. And it's no secret that the unsatisfied are more vocal than the satisfied. So, I felt it was only fair for me to actually compliment you guys on it, since I like it that much.

It has actually increased queue times for me. You see, I used to pick secondary fill or support. Even though I had mid first, I barely ever got mid. I was always instantly put into support. Sure, queue times were shorter, but at the expense of me constantly playing the same role. Now, I know a LOT of people who faced the same problem. At some point, I stopped queueing with fill or support. I went secondary top, and while it's not like I'm good at top, I just wanted something else from the constant support.

That's what the non-autofill system did. It forced supports to basically not pick support, otherwise the game simply became too stale. But since the support mains didn't pick support... Who did? No one. It basically meant no one was playing support, and at that rate, you would never get queued up, since no one was playing support. No one dared to pick fill either, since it was literally a second support button.

This has all been fixed now. Sure, once in a while I get a support that doesn't know what to do. But is that really any different from the jungler that's just trying to imitate ND5 and feeding in the proces? It's not.

Now I get to pick Mid / Fill, and I'll have my fair share of mid games, my fair share of support games and even games where I'm something else. On top of that, the queue timers are much shorter than when I went mid / top.

I'm silver 2, not diamond. They playerbase is huge, so why should anyone below diamond have to wait as long as them. People saying they'd rather wait 5 more minutes apparently really don't remember league of queues.

Very nice post and I agree. Secondly, as a person who distinctly remembers Silver, there's a lot of players who should learn supporting because they cannot even stop going 0-11, much less carry. Check my recent support games for normal examples.
