QOL For MF's W: Strut

EDIT: Technically a bug fix due to a lack of consistency, but the point of the change remains.

Effects like Immolation (Bami's Cinder/Sunfire Cape) and Thorns (Bramble Vest/Thornmail) should not disable her passive MS boost.

Neither of them require doing anything directly to her and both will still disable her passive move speed. This not only contradicts the tooltip (which explicitly states direct damage) but Teemo's Move Quick passive is not affected either.

So for a matter of consistency, can these two effects not count as direct damage against MF? While we're at it, can we also fix it so that there is no DoT damage that knocks it out? I can confirm at least 2 that still do it, Darius' Passive and Teemo's Noxious Trap (only after the application).

Not QoL.

Except it is.

MF's W explicitly states it requires direct damage (aka, you do something directly to her). Moving next to her should not inherently knock out her strut. Her attacking you should not knock out her strut (because you're not doing anything to her, she's just attacking you).

The only times these situations change is when you buy either Immolation (Cinder/Sunfire) or Thorns (Bramble/Thornmail) respectively.

Also take into account that Teemo's Move Quick is not similarly affected and he also explicitly states "champion damage".

Isn't that more a bugfix then?

Arguably, yes.

But bugfix or QoL fix, it needs done.

Darius bleed is direct and intentional damage though, and Darius deserves to rip her apart if he should be fortunate enough to catch her tbh. What's more is most champs in range to hit her with immolate are probably in range to damage her anyway, and her being as strong as she is, should have the counterplay of having strut disabled with any champion damage, direct or otherwise.

Does Darius' Bleed knock out Teemo's Move Quick passive? If not, then neither should it knock out MF's Strut.

Fallacious thinking. Is darius's bleed the same as Talon's. Are all ranged or charged abilities considered channeled? Are all dashes and movement speed buffs the same? Not at all. They all are unique. Teemo's speed boosts is affected differently than MF's and it's honestly fair. She's oppressive as-is.

Except the passive portions of these skills are supposed to function the same way with slightly different numbers to define their total effects.

The short version is that it doesn't particularly increase her survival. A few niche situations at best and very few are with common match ups in bot lane. The reason she is oppressive has nothing to do with her inherent ability to survive and anyone who thinks is the case has a terrible understanding of both MF and the game. This actually does little against her common counters in champions. And she is the ONLY Marksman who LOSES mobility simply because the enemy bought an item or two.

If you're going to advocate that these items should continue to disrupt MF, then you should also advocate QSS being able to cleanse all debuffs, including Zed's ultimate. After all, why should Miss Fortune be the only champion completely countered by a single item the enemy bought?

The Fallacious thinking is on your end, really. Because the core of the effects is that they are passive. They are added effects based on other active actions. Neither of those is applied simply because Talon or Darius walked next to Miss Fortune or she attacked them.

I will simply state that if her passive and how it is affected by certain abilities or items isn't at all about survival, then wtf are you even complaining about? If it doesn't help her then nothing is lost. And yes, the ability to escape or kite the non-counters is exactly what that ability us for, that and chasing or escaping when already at a distance. You basically denied the main point of her speed boost...

Because, as I mentioned, those items negate her speed boost for NO VALID REASON.

If she attacks someone who has Bramble Vest/Thornmail, SHE IMMEDIATELY LOSES HER STRUT PASSIVE.

An enemy with Sunfire/Bami Cinder can walk up to her, DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE OTHER THAN STAND NEXT TO HER AND NEGATE HER STRUT PASSIVE.

She is only supposed to lose it when directly attacked. That means being attacked by her and standing next to her should not count.

DOT effects like Liandry's, Darius' Hommorage, Teemo's Toxic Shot, Brand's passive and similar effects should not extend the duration she has to wait for her strut to come up on its own. They are all cases where she is NOT ONLY PUNISHED BUT NEEDLESSLY CRIPPLED DUE TO POOR CODING.

She loses ALL functions of said boost and eliminates her ability to use it because said effects will instantly knock it out if she uses the W active to reset it.

The point is that it isn't counter play or being countered. It is those effects having extra agency against her when they don't need it and she's fragile enough as is.

I agree with this: regardless of whether or not one agrees with the OP's proposed change, the fact remains that there is a disconnect between Strut's tooltip and its actual functionality. Either the ability or the tooltip should be updated to reflect the intended effect. Personally, I'd be in favor of updating the ability, as Strut sometimes feels like it goes offline for no discernible reason, but if that isn't the choice that gets made, then the tooltip needs to change to state that all kinds of damage, including indirect damage, disable it.

Not sure if I would go as far as Dots like Teemo poison, but it should at least not get knocked out by minion damage. Literally 1 caster projectile takes it out.
