Is this about role separation

It seems like Riot is trying to more clearly separate the roles in league. What I mean by that is they only want junglers to jungle, supports to support, etc. TBH I'd like this as it would make balancing more defined rather than every champ should work in every role. I'm just curious of their thought process on the whole thing.

this is stupid and dumbs down the game because a strength of a champ could be its flexibility to go jg/top/mid or mid/supp or adc/elsewhere.

Ezreal, Maokai, Malphite, Pantheon, new Fizz, Master Yi, Swain and Annie are examples of amazing champ design. A horrible example of champ design is new Soraka.

You really can't say they only want Junglers to Jungle because you need to define who is a Jungler. And who is a Jungler is, is anyone with smite and a Machete. And the Transparency changes they did to the new Jungle items made it so that Balancing Junglers is more a matter of the individual champions.

Though in General, most of the game power goes into the lanes, so a lot of champions avoid the Jungle, unless they have a good ability that makes them better as a Jungler.

Also, it's difficult to balance a champion around multiple roles because they have to balance it around the most OP Role. And when you balance one role will affect the other.
