Annie vs Viktor help?

Playing as Annie I'm having a very rough time vs Viktor in lane phase. I usually dont actually die to him because Viktor usually has tp(no ignite) and hes pushing me into turret so I can't be ganked, but his poke is so relentless and strong that I lose by a lot of CS.

The last 3 times I won the game twice because I was able to roam better than him in one game and the other my jungle camped him really hard. Issue is whenever I get even close enough to CS he Qs me for easy harass and half the time lands an e and that alone does maybe 1/2 3/4 of my health. Seems like he can just zone me like this. Am I missing something?

umm tp isn't meta on viktor?... hasn't been for as long as i can remember, and I've played him since long before he was popular. he usually runs exhaust, or ghost.

also, his job is to push you into turret if you can't handle it. best thing you can do is learn to cs under turret (easy with annie qs and ws), spam those qs and autos to resist his wave clear, or buy more mana (2nd dorans ring/morello rush starting with mana part first) and use w if you have to.

he doesn't even get superior wave clear though, until he has his upgraded hex core, which got nerfed to 1250g. if you're able to kill him or push him out of lane early it can really screw him over... especially since, no viktor really takes tp...

and like you said, you can roam better than him. if viktors caught out he's pretty screwed as he isn't able to 100-0 quite as well as annie. he just has his w, but requires a bit more teamwork to do his thing than the mid game terror that is annie.

don't feel bad for roaming, just make sure you don't give him a free turret mid when you do. or better yet roam bot and immediately take their turret after a successful gank

if viktor has lichbane he has just as much 100-0 kill pressure on annie. at that point is who lands spell first wins.

viktor does well against annie because any mage that outranges annie does well against annie. its her design. anyone that gets in her range dies. otherwise she usually loses. she has too much damage and the only way to deal with her is staying away from her.

It's hard to kill him as Annie since he out ranges you and you have a pretty telegraphed all in. Even if you were to try to flash ult for the kill chances are you would already be too low to try it. Your best bet is to get jungle help and cs as much as you can under tower. He becomes easier for you to kill as the game progresses since he won't be able to see you directly as he can in lane.
