Dodging champ select

I think many of us can agree where you are sometimes in a champ select and there is a troll in the team that you have to dodge. Otherwise it would be a waste of 20 minutes, I for example just now dodged a game because we had a trolling jungler who called the role last but still locked it in as nunu to be able to steal every camp. I did not want to waste 20 minutes on this so I dodged. Because I dodged I got a time penalty, which is completely normal. However I don't think it's a very fair system. I dodged so that me and the rest of my team would have a normal game instead of having one with a troll. I feel like I should not be punished for it with a 5 minute penalty. During the 5 minute wait I came up with the idea of giving players the option to vote for a dodge if there is a troll. I think that 4/5 players should should vote yes in order to be able to dodge.

There are some issues with this system though, non meta picks would maybe be seen as troll and always be dodged. An issue to overcome this is maybe to only give one "free" dodge per day. The other dodges would be like normal.

But besides this I see no way to abuse this. In gamemodes like ARAM this option should be disabled since it would allow for dodging because of a bad team comp which would make the que times way longer.

i agree, good idea..i cant stand these ppl and this looks like a good solution. it should be somehow solved

People who dodge ruin the game for me. I cant stand going through a picking cycle just to have to go back and start over again. And it's not troll picks all the time. Actually it's almost never troll picks. It's a champ gets banned and that player is a one trick pony and has to leave at that point. Then I may have to go through this nightmare of people dodging over and over again.

IMO the penalty should be higher to help prevent people from dodging and sending the 9 other players back into limbo waiting for another few min to get into another champ select. If the "troll" pick is really that bad then there is a report feature you and your team can use at the end of the game. But leaving a game because you don't like your team because it is not perfect for you is not an excuse to dodge.
