So Knights Vow...... Explain.

so explain to me how Knight's Vow, an item that is meant to mitigate damage from one single targeted ally until used on another ally is anywhere remotely good, i mean sure the health, armor and max health regen is ok and the extra armor and movement speed when moving towards them is alright, but nothing good enough to be really better then mediocre, and the thing that is holding it back is the 12%true damage you take out of the damage your partnered ally takes is the thing that makes it bad.

Sure your partner,(when close enough), can heal you for 12% of the damage they do but if you compare that with the true damage your taking its not even healing half that damage at all.

From all the playing i have done with it, i have noticed that in order for it to be effective, Knight's Vow needs to be the first item you build if your support even over a sightstone or your support item and you need to be ahead of the opposing bot lane to have any impact with it.

redemption is a much better item for support in everyway since you get mana regen instead of armor and an active heal/true damage ability that even works when dead.

i can kinda see how Knight's Vow would be useful on some top laners for early game plays to try and get snowballed using it on other players for bug plays, but how would it be anywhere useful in the late game since the true damage would be the thing that would stop any tank from pushin with 10 fully built players at level 18.

honestly i think Knight's Vow should be taken back to the drawing board, since its a worse version of bond of stone,(you know that keystone mastery).

Worse version of bond of stone? How? It offshoots more damage and actually heals you depending on the partnered damage.

Also, it isn't true damage. You just aren't allowed to apply resistances twice.

You are supposed to keep the AD alive. This item does that. It also heals you from his damage. Where is the problem? The supports that would build it are simply not that popular atm.

It works well with Tank Supports. Especially high health ones like Sion, Alistar, and Leona.

The whole idea is that you will protect your ADC so that they are able to deal damage.

You protect them = they don't take damage or they take very little damage = YOU take little damage (from the item)

As long as they are able to continue to effectively deal damage, you should be healing very effectively.

You get ADC level lifesteal as a tank!

How is keeping the carry alive longer not a good thing? And what's stopping anyone from building both redemption and this item? Usually the role of the support is to keep the carry alive and the item essentially gives the carry 12% damage reduction which is pretty significant and definitely stronger than bond of stone. The supports that should be building the item are going to be very tanky and should be building for more hp to counteract the true damage and are getting healed from the damage the carry is doing.

Will test it on top Nasus summ.rift duo (triforce, visage,kv,thornmail, frozen mallet?/some hp item if needed) with jungler dmg shyvana (but somewhat tanky shyvana : rageblade, bork, titanic ,gArgoils, cleaver, bloodrazor, fervour 18/0/12 It can be good, while the Armor reductions amd slows and much aoe And my duo p. Loves movespeed,so its nice , want to make kv happen ! Some silver maining shyv. Farming jung. I think on 2 tanky champs its interesting to consider buying it, while the dmg reduction, will wright results. 80%+wimrate solo q. shyv. With build ,so kv it might get higher if nasus or sg can build it. We will take down baron regardless ..
