So I'm in Ireland right now and I when I got on my league account nothing would load. I live in the U.S. What do I have to do to make the games work? Do I have to change the regional settings before I log in?

It should still work (Obviously with higher ping). You can try submitting a support ticket.
If you really want to, try changing regions.
