Why is league of legends so buggy for me? (Mac)

ever since the new update, the league client and game have been so buggy, my screen goes black, the background keeps disappearing my hot bar also disappears, my client glitches and wont load even tho it says its already loaded , and ive been noticing my ping has gone up so high lately even tho it has never been like that, only rare occasions up until now, my internet is fine and so is everything else except the bugs i have now. what do i do?
