Transitioning into mid game as Darius

Easily my favorite champion and currently my only level 7 mastery, but even then there's a particular trend I've noticed on Darius that seems to be confirmed on Champion.gg : That he's stellar early game and fairly good late game if you build tank, but has trouble during the mid game particularly at the point where you've won your lane (because you're Darius), but don't have your Dead Man's Plate and Spirit Visage completed making it difficult to tank. I mean, I GUESS you could just sit at the mid or back line and just wait for an opportunity to dunk someone who's low health and try to set up a dunk chain, but that seems to be difficult particularly because I don't have Dead Man's yet and am very easy to kite (It's become even harder to do this recently for some reason whether it's because of medication or tilt since my reactions have been slowed to the point where I miss most of my pulls in team fights and either dunk too early or too late and don't get my Noxian Might).

So my question is this: Should I still be grouping up for teamfights after I've won my lane and just git gud with my reflexes, continue pushing my lane and hope that this causes the enemy team to have to send one or two people to deal with me that I should be able to deal with by myself if one of them is squishy until I have my core built (Possibly farming the enemy jungle as well), or something else entirely?

Peel for your ADC.

Imo you could try to peel for your AD if you find it hard to dive and get fed off the frontline who is trying to dive your team.

By the end of laning phase you should have a completed item 3071 and item 3742 with item 3111 in almost every case, even against most AP users you'll still want that deadmans rush because it's movement speed is just so valuable for Darius and you still have a tiny bit of MR from item 3111 .

This will provide with really great roam potential and sticking power (while still having loads of hp to make up for the lack of resistances), and you basically just need to have a map presence once laning phase is over. Frontlineing isn't always effective, sometimes it's alright to flank their team and catch people out. As you stated, Darius is not a very suitable front-liner during the mid game so having all this movement speed for roams and catching out bot lane when they're overextended is essential for you to have an impact while you still aren't a complete tank yet.

I have learned you need to get fed. One thing I am still toying around with is getting chain vest/wardens mail then spirit visage and then your armor item. It works out ok but you are still a little squishy. Also level 7 Darius noxus roolz

Not built enough to be invincible, not early enough to crutch on badass stats; where champions find themselves in these paradigms I usually find they can provide some sort of off-tank or off-support to the group. Give 'em the ole' row'n'slow.

"particularly at the point where you've won your lane (because you're Darius)" -op

You Darius players are scum. The lot of you.

Mid Game darius is kind of funky. Your ult becomes relevant at level 2 so thats nice but youre at that stage where you have a cleaver, defensive boots, and maybe a defense item, but youre not at full tank potential. Your noxian might isnt badass since it reslly starts to ramp up during the last 5 levels to 18.

Play more like a tank if you can and use your strong peeling tools for your carries. Usually mages start popping off and adcs arent exactly at their prime at this point either.

Running ghost flash makes you lose map pressure can make your mid game teamfighting a lot more potent.
