Laning against Illaoi
As a melee champion how do you lane against Illaoi. I feel like unless you're Darius or something she just auto fucks you. I could be wrong. Anyone wanna shed some light?

Even THEN darius struggles.
It's easy.
Just don't fight her.
Like really.
If you're more than 650 range from her, she CANNOT kill you.
She cannot kill you from hitting on your Soul, it'll stop at a certain health threshold.
The only thing that can kill you, are her tentacles.
And frankly, if you can't even dodge her slow-ass hentai appendages, you deserve to lose.
Like any other juggernaut, Illaoi's main weakness is kiting: basically if she can't hit you, she does absolutely nothing for damage. However because of the range of her tentacles and E, kiting her is less reliant on range as it is on mobility: basically focus more on dodging in the hit and run aspects.
Also, and I can't stress this enough, deal with tentacles in whatever way possible while hiding behind minions while her E is off Cooldown. You don't let Heimerdinger keep his turrets, you don't let Malzahar keep voidlings, you don't let Zyra keep plants: this is no different unless she ults in which case back to dodging (or more accurately running away).
To those effects I recommend Renekton as someone who is mobile, has CC, and benefits from clearing tentacles with auto-W. Yorick is amazing as well if you are more worried about getting hit with E as once he has ghouls they tank the aoe from tentacles and block E just like any other minion ... just don't expect much use from Ring as Illaoi can jump over it with W or break it with auto-W. And strangely enough Yasuo and Jax also works, with Windwall and Counterstrike blocking her E and dodging her W respectively in addition to them having some very useful mobility options.
To reiterate: hit and run while also maintaining her spawns.
this is interesting, since i started playing illaoi lately
i can say, the laning phase is easy for illa.. just land your e consistently on the unfortunate enemy and you're good
so far the only trouble i had was laning against a teemo (big surprise) since he can blind you back everytime you get in range
in any case, if you are laning against illaoi, do whatever it takes to dodge his E, if you do that her harassing power is void
so, stay behind your minions, be extra careful when last hitting
when her E is on cooldown be aggressive, just mind that is W (short dash + attack) will trigger nearby tentacles
and be wary of her ult when melee her, if there are tentacles nearby he could R+W you to death
i think melees against her struggles a lot, generally speaking
shes poor design get faceroll if you melee get destroyed if you take any ranged
