Team Balance is an On-Going Problem in Ranked (Platinum Player)

I am currently rated plat 3 and am taking serious measures to improve my play. I'm not the type of person who whines and blames teammates for every single lost. I reflect on each game and my mistakes made during the game. My past 2 losses were robbed from me by riot's on-going matchmaking issue. Don't believe me check my past 2 games.

game 1 my team plat 2 plat 3 plat 3 plat 2 plat 4

enemy team plat 1 plat 2 plat 2 plat 3 plat 1

game 2 plat 3 plat 3 plat 3 plat 5 plat 3

plat 3 plat 3 plat 3 plat 3 plat 4 (the support)

Okay so maybe game 2 wasn't so bad right? Well there's a sizeable gap between plat 5 players and plat 3 players (or even plat 4) in terms of skill. The difference between plat 3 and plat 5 is the same difference between gold and silver players. So just having them on my team gimps me so much. Game 1 was just brutal how many higher rated players there was. And this is an on-going problem i see in ranked. Usually after my losses the trend is they had higher rated players overall than my team. Depressing smh

The gap between gold and silver isn't large. P3 to p5 is even smaller.

Like saying D5 is alot different than P1, shit is the same thing. or b5 or b1

Well, there are some games where matchmaking gives you an enemy (team) that they think you can't beat so if you beat them, you gain a lot of MMR. (I think you also get bonus LP, not sure though.) On the other hand, sometimes matchmaking gives you an enemy that they think you can beat, and you lose a lot of LP AND MMR if you lose against them.

PS: The difference between Plat 3 and Plat 5 is definitely not the difference between a Gold and a silver. The difference is only between a Silver II and a Gold III. (I'm not saying the gap isn't small, but it isn't as large as how you mentioned it in your post.

Another PS: Rank isn't as important as MMR. When Challengers smurf, they might be Platimum II, but they will be against Diamond players and sometimes even Master players. This probably isn't the case for your Plat V support, but it isn't impossible. (They don't even have to be challengers on their mains. Plat V is so easy to get.)

It's worse in normals, and has been for years.
