Any tips to get out of silver? Seems to be a nightmare of a challenge to get out. I and giving 100% each game but getting nowhere at the moment. Anything else I can do to increase my chances?

There's no easy way. You just have to grind out enough games. This is the first season I actually committed to grinding it out and I finally made gold after a nine game win streak. Hold out until the stars finally align, and identify the champions that you seem to win with most often even when the team is horrible and stick to those.
Jhin's not a bad choice, but when you're in silver you might want to do an AD with more self-peel since supports probably won't be very effective at countering threats even if they understand that's what they're supposed to do. Consider Malphite top, maybe? Jax and Tryndamere aren't bad choices, but a mid or top who brings lots of CC is HUGE in silver.

Thanks for the reply.
Well grinding it is then. I'm trying to stick to just a few champions like you mentioned, so got that part. I have been playing Jhin top lane a lot. I actually hate the adc bottom role. So any Jhin games I have besides maybe one or two are all top. Tryndamere is great I think, but has just one main downside which is his teamfight. I find often that when I engage for my team as tryndamere the follow up is a little slow. Never the less I generally get at least 2 people to one shot health after being chain cc'd haha. When I have an engage on the team though tryndamere is incredible. I can just go in crit and e around to everyone. That being said I often times run into the first scenario too often with him and am trying to adapt. Jax I struggle with on top because he is soooo weak. I think I am too aggressive of a player for Jax top right now, scaling late is great but hard to play so slow in the beginning for me.
Again, thanks for reply!
learn tips and tricks. all of which are too extensive for me to list here so just youtube search them.

That's fair, I plan to watch a bunch of guide videos for league in general soon. Thanks for the reply and input!
