Teemo's E and R seem to apply wrong types of damage.
First of all I want to assure you that I have rechecked every single interaction mentioned in this post twice this (5.23) patch.
For those who don't know much about damage types I'd also mention that there's another type of dmg - Summoned Creatures damage. Think of Shaco's W, Zyra's plants, Yorick's ghouls, Morde R ghosts and Annie's R
- Teemo's E doesn't apply on spell effects. (Liandry, Rylai, WotA, Gunblade, Luden, etc.) That being said, It's most likely considered as proc damage completely. It does make sense when we're talking about Teemo's E on-hit part, but the DPS part of it shall be considered a spell and interact with mentioned items
Most of you will shout out "IT WOULD BE BROKEN PLS DON'T LET HIS E APPLY ON SPELL EFFECTS", thing is that it would maybe be broken, but it also would be fair and maybe would make Teemo a bit more relevant as a champion. For comparsion, passive part of Fizz's W applies on spell effects and his passive part of W is pretty much same thing as Teemo's E but scales differently.
What would change if Teemo's E would actually apply on-spell effects:
- Liandry would become even better option for Teemo since his E would apply it.
- Rylai would be a bit better pickup. Right now it's pretty meh because the only spell that makes use of the item is Teemo's Q
- Luden would be applied by Teemo's E. This interaction shall not be problematic since his Q has same range as autoattacks and isn't even a skillshot. Another thing - it's very unlikely that Teemo would manage to get a double Luden proc in one autoattack
- WotA and Gunblade itempaths?
- Teemo's R doesn't interrupt Quinn's ult and just significately slows her instead. Appears like Teemo's R is dealing Summoned Creatures damage, which is actually fine and makes sense, the real problem is this exact interaction between Quinn and Teemo.
Hear me out,** it's not about Quinn being hurt a lot by accidentaly stepping on Teemo's shrooms** and having to recast her ult when Teemo's DoT wears off, but it's about Teemo being NOT rewarded for properly shrooming map to prevent Quinn's roaming. Right now this interaction creates pretty much unfair gameplay for Teemo against Quinn.
What would change if Teemo's shrooms would interrupt Quinn's ult:
- Roaming as Quinn on toplane would become really hasrd when laning against Teemo because stepping on a shroom as Quinn would mean she'd be unable to cast her ult for next 7 seconds and would have to wait additional 2 seconds before ult channel gets finished. Yup it sounds like too much, but think about it, this would make Teemo a somewhat good niche pick against Quinn.
- Teemo would get rewarded for properly shrooming map to deny Quinn's roam.
