Riot Instead of Nerfing Cinderhulk

look at what it's competing with.

The mage jungle item, well, yea. How often do you see mage junglers not using cinderhulk.

As for warrior, it wouldn't really hurt to revert the incredibly overwhelming 5 ad nerf. It's not much of a change and it will help a little.

I pretty much exclusively build devourer, so hear me out on this.

When season 5 came, the lee sins and the vi players and the rek'sais, etc. were all excited, I'm sure. There were even some hooplah's coming from tank junglers with juggernaut and now cinderhulk. But in a little corner you can see Aatrox Hecarim Jax Kayle MasterYi Nocturne Skarner Warwick ( Exception of 4.20) Udyr

Now while I'm not sure this is the way to go about changing devourer, but what was really wrong with starting out with 40 damage on hit? It didn't give you extra damage on your ad scaling like warrior. It didn't offer tankyness like juggernaut. When was the last time you saw someone legitimately build devourer and do well? Devourer is for attack speed reliant champions, who generally do better off later in the game. Champions who build devourer should be trying to farm and get stronger so they can win the late game, not be forced into risky stat gains on ganks.

Season 5 introduced DoT heavy jungle items, which isn't what these types of champions want. These champions want reliable stats that give them raw power in terms of clearing the jungle and fighting champions.

What I'm suggesting is, and I know a lot of people are going to hate me for this, another jungle item path, seperate from the machete line.

Maybe something along the lines of a knife or something that would be like the hunter's machete from late season 4, which upgrades into something like madreds and then something like wriggles.

Also make it so that they can purchase items from the machete line (excluding the full on upgrades) so these current devourer users can also have different options like sustain (trailblazer) counterjungling (poacher's knife) and dueling (skirmisher's). These types of champions generally don't want poacher's knife. but it can still be an option.

What this introduction of raw stat scaling like a feral flare would re-introduce is junglers not only being aware of the enemy laners, but the enemy jungler as well. This would make champions like LeeSin Shaco become strong again due to powerful counterjungling options to limit these feral flare champions.

These feral flare champions should be shitty early. That's what they're for. But these champions can also deal with cinderhulk later due to the magic/hybrid damage their jungle item offers, so cinderhulk users have to itemize more carefully. The game should really turn into Feral Flare>Cinderhulk>Warrior>Feral Flare This would introduce more champion diversity throughout the game, and more thinking in champion select. Raw damage would also give completely random champions who shouldn't be in the jungle a chance to jungle, which would give really creative options.

On a side note, feral flarers would still be a little weak, so it would be nice if riot could also reduce the respawn time of jungle camps a little. Maybe between what it was in season 4 and what it is now.

TL;DR Give devourer users raw damage options like feral flare to introduce a healthy champion selection pool for the jungle, and reduce jungle spawn times.

If you buffed the other jungle enchants to Cinderhulk's level, Warrior would have 60 AD and 20% CDR, Magus would have 100 AP and 100% bonus mana regeneration, and Devourer would deal 60 magic damage on hit at base.

Yes, Cinderhulk is that broken. The nerfs currently on PBE (lower damage against champions and higher damage against monsters) are actually a pretty reasonable push in the right direction, and should fix Cinderhulk quite nicely.

Magus and Devourer I do think need buffs as far as jungle enchants go, while Poacher's needs some kind of rework so it has some kind of place in the game.

why the hell do you want LeeSin to be strong again? I think 2.5-3 years of being God tier is enough for a game with well over 100 champs.

Shaco isn't too horrible, I mean he just requires lots and lots of outplaying, otherwise hes lackluster once you get to mid-late game

I could see the 5 damage returned on warrior, and also a +5 or +10 damage buff to devourerer...

and yeah the mage enchantment is very underwhelming. it's "sufficient"... the other three items are all exiting on the other hand.

I think a slight buff to Devourer and Poachers is in order.

Also, I feel that the nerf to ranged junglers and camp aggro resets needs to be reverted. The theme to this season is 'strategic diversity', and yet the second TF or Twitch went to the jungle, ranged jungling was nerfed.

what do u mean other mage jungler only use cinderhulk..

nidalee uses magus.. back when she could jungle... before cinderhulk was added... and before her nerfs... when she was still a viable pick...

so yeah nevermind your right.. only cinderhulk now.

all hail our new tanky overlords

i personally think thatSkarner is pretty much fine right now i love cinderhulk on him and to me i think his kit overall fine just that e is pretty small to hit really when u need to be close to get them slowed but other than that i think hes in a good spot right now grant it hes not used in the lcs but that doesn't necessarily make him a bad champion but yes i do agree devourer needs a buff my favorite wolf needs to have a comeback soon and if his rework isn't coming anytime soon i would at least like it if they buff him up a bit

Buffing other things in order to reduce the power of a single thing goes against Riot's very ethos. They have preferred nerfs to buffs since day 1.

You callin Udyr Skarner Trundle shty early?

On a side note, initial devourer was way too strong. As a guy who basically mains devourer junglers, this is sad but true

Honestly cinderhulk is really strong right now because the jungle is brutally difficult right now.
