It's Disgusting That the Surrender Option Still Exists in Its Current State

It needs to be scrapped or it needs to be a unanimous vote to surrender the game. Too many games are lost because negative babies give up too early when the game can clearly be won. There is no point in any game that you cannot come back from given the right play and attitude, so if one person feels that the game can still be won then there is no reason that the game should not continue.

An alternative to this is keeping the surrender system as is, but those who say no to the vote receive a loss prevented or a very minimal lp loss. The result of the game in a 4-1 vote is completely out of the hands of the 1, so they should not be punished for it.

Nah, they probably downvoted because in some cases a 3-2 vote for a surrender losing, causes a waste of time for those who want to surrender in a hopeless game. There are some games that are rather hopeless, and thus requiring a 4-1 votes is rather fair. Also, allowing the 1 person to be "unpunished" itself also isn't particularly fair, as it could happen in situations where everyone wants to surrender, but the last person presses no just so they won't be "penalized"

I agree that any game is definitely winnable because throws are always a possibility, but when the other 4 people on your team are demoralized to the point that they don't want to continue, there's no reason for the game to go on at that point because no one is going to want to try that hard anyways, which just would cause frustration for the 5th teammate. Not to mention if there's a troll on a team they could troll and just deny any surrender vote if it was unanimous.

i think it's fair that whoever doesn't surrender loses a few (3?) less LP then those who agree to surrender...never do myself.
