Support comps are way to overpower in 3v3. Its pretty much all you see in diamond+ 3v3. Its either play with a friend and run support comp or play solo vs a support comp and hope your team does the same or you lose the game in champ select. Support items are way to cheap and easy to get, faster then a 5v5 game. Neither the support or carry gets punish for doing both jungle and lane minions faster if they vs a jungler and solo top laner. Something should be done about this like removing face of the mountain like how it was done in 5v5. Make it so jungle spawns faster with lower gold or something. 3v3 just feels very unbalance at it will feel nice to get some love on the map. Also match making is way off. No offense but silvers shouldnt be in diamond games xD.

A Support Comp scales faster & aims to win the match by mid game.The Jungle Comp (Which is what you normally see/play in lower ELO) takes longer to scale by comparison, but can hypothetically win the late game. The First 8 minutes is said to be the only time where you can set the Hyper-Carry and or Support behind. Also the Support is the more frail member of the team since they will be most likely be following & protecting the Hyper-Carry, thus missing out on EXP & being behind 2-3 levels.

As a Toplaner vs a Support comp. You want a champion that can SHOVE the lane quickly, so far Graves Graves has been able to do this for me nicely. The Hyper-Carry & Support will have to deal with your push, while your Jungler can help the APC win their lane. APC wins their lane, they'll be able to help you & the Jungler push out the Turret. From there, it's a matter of Starving out the Hyper-Carry or Catching one of them out. Other than that, rotate & get objectives like normal.
