was in champ select, my wifi d/ced. I was in promos 1-1 for plat 2. come back online not only do I get 5 minute dodge timer but for the first time ever I recieved a promo loss/kick out for dodging which wasn't even my fault

I've never put any thought into this since I never dodge promo games, but fuck riot. shouldn't players be able to optimize their chances of winning ESPECIALLY in promos??? the games that matter the most riot says, fuck you. you have to play them or it's a loss because we don't want you to optimize your chance of moving up a division AND THEN THEY STILL PENALIZE YOU WITH A DODGE TIMER, BITCH WHAT? why do you get a dodge timer when you just got punished for leaving a promo game. you're getting double punished

It's your own fault for trying to play League on WiFi.

It would otherwise be even easier to dodge, even with promo. Got a team you don't want to be on? Just turn off your internet and try again with no consequences. Obviously, they want to discourage any kind of dodging or acts of afk, which simply can't be distinguished from actual personal technical issues,

Accidents happen, but Riot isn't responsible for what happens with your own wifi.

my main questions are. 1. why is it punished harder than non promo games when riot should want you to climb as optimally as possible and 2. why would you get a queue dodge timer if ur already losing a promo game for dodging, it's a double punishment

Because promos are important ranked games. You need to be able to commit to them if you want to climb. If someone dodges despite all of that, then they have to be willing to accept the punishment for it.
