I'm wondering since I just managed to place myself at Platinum III after a monstrous 10-0 win-streak. So yeah how exactly does it work? What would be the effect for instance if I managed to keep going and somehow hit Diamond?
Preseason effect yours pre-reset MMR. Unless riot's changed things, the basic premise of rank reset is they take the average of your MMR + 1200 (base mmr). So say you ended the season at 1800 mmr. If you didn't play any games during preseason, you would start the next season at 1500 mmr. But if you climbed up to 2000 mmr in preseason, you would instead start next season at 1600 mmr.
