Try to remove the mute button on team for a patch

Can riot try and remove the mute button on friendly teams for a patch and see if the community likes it? My reason for wanting this is because teammates tend to mute their own teammates and that removes all communication aside from maybe pings. In a team based game it would be kind of stupid to remove most if not all communication with teammates regardless of the situation. The arguement that you mute teammates because they are toxic or tilt is not the best because you can always choose to ignore everything but callouts.

Sure I'll support that if you get rid of "?" ping spamming on every bad play or enemy gank, or every bit of flaming by a rager even though its their own fault, or every bit of racism or troll baiting, or general unrelated chatting or memeing that distracts you from the game.

If you get rid of the reasons I mute idiots in games, then by all means you can get rid of mute.

And no, once you have someone screaming in your face and blaming you for everything, it already is tilting and will affect your game.

I mute people the instant they start acting passive-aggressive or like jerks. Sometimes I'll mute everyone immediately when the game starts if people are being brats in champ picks.

The mute button is sometimes the only thing that stops me from alt f4'ing and playing a single player game when people prove themselves over and over to be as intelligent and well-spoken as a baked potato.

Sorry. No.

Again I did say for a patch to see how the community likes it. I felt like it was more annoying to deal with not having communication because someone didn't feel like taking a suggestion or didn't want to do things the team wanted

I'll tell you how the community will like it; they won't :P

I feel like most games no one mutes until shots are fired. It's not uncommon to see most or all of a team joking together while waiting to leash, if the prompt is good enough.

I don't think taking away the mute option is a smart decision. It removes the only defense against uncalled for chat, and could easily result in more players being tilted, responding in kind (so more punishments), and more AFKs as people get tired of putting up with it.

I think you'd be just as satisfied with a notification that let you know when a player muted/unmuted you, since you'd see who actually closed themselves off vs who doesn't care.
