Does anyone else have better map awareness when playing certain champs?
I feel like I have better map awareness with champs like cho and shen, but when it comes to gp, I'm useless.

In my case is about how comfortable I am playing the champ, I have like 5 times my map awareness when playing Olaf.
Think that's because you just want to show off your champion at any opportunity you can?
Like when ganking, just start screaming "I'M PLAYING OLAF WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"
My best map awareness is when I'm respawning [slayer-jinx-unamused]
For me it more depends on role. Its good when im playing Sup because i have little else to do and in mid because I'm expecting to get ganked every 10 seconds

I am always looking for the opportunity to... help my beloved teammates.
I think champs that are meant to focus one target, i have a hard time with map awerness. But when i have a global pressure, like tf, gp and shen i have better map awerness. To me it depends on their abilites.
Funnily enough my map awareness tanks on Shen for some reason. When I'm doing my usual support tank job I've got decent map awareness, bad shot calling with objectives though.
I have better map awareness when i'm playing WW or galio, mainly b/c of WW's W blood trails tho and looking for opportunities to ult as galio
I have superb map awareness when playing champions I know how to play
It's usually more when I'm against a champion that I struggle against that my awareness is shot. I'm so focused on not dying that my map awareness goes to shit.
I think most people including myself have little map awareness when playing Hecarim. Especially in ARAM.
Hecarim : Why didn't you follow up p****es!!!!!
teamates: stupid hec!
The more comfortable you are on a champ, the easier it is to autopilot without screwing yourself.
The easier it is to autopilot without screwing yourself, the more opportunities you'll have to look at map consciously.
