Viktor after rylai (and now ghost) changes

For those that don't know Vik is sitting at about 44.5% winrate (according to https://www.op.gg/champion/viktor/statistics/mid). And he seems to have been hit harder than other rylai users, as the winrate dropped more for Vik than for Taliyah, Azir, Ori, Cass, Syndra, etc. With ghost nerfs he dropped further, but no word from Riot?

I dont wanna sound like im complaining, but would be nice to see what they think about the situation, if they like the state he is in or if they are planning future changes. It feels like Viktor saw a high play rate in competetive, now he is being nerfed, hurting him in soloq as well.

Viktor main here.

It seems Viktor is in a weird spot at the moment. The Rylai's changes hurt him, but I don't think it hurt him as much as the shift in the meta towards champs like LeBlanc, Ori, and Syndra being powerful. From personal experience, all of these matchups are rough.

In addition, with Rylai's being weaker, there is no consensus on what his item path should look like. After completing perfect hex core, the next item varies greatly. Morellonomicon, Rylai's or Lich Bane are most common, but even something like Luden's Echo is not outside the realm of possibility.

Overall, while he may be on the weak side, it certainly doesn't feel like he is in need of immediate attention. The next shift in the meta could bring him back in a big way.

I would have to disagree. While those are rought match-ups, the laning phase was never the focus for Viktor. A bad laning phase was supposed to be the trade off for a strong mid/late game, and with the rylai changes, I feel he just doesn't have enough cc to reliably deal out the damage within his kit in the mid/late game. If you look at his win rate post 20 mins they are still well below 50 %, which didnt used to be the case.

He still is one of the most broken mages in the game.. His damage is insane and he has a homing ulti and a 2ish(i forgot) second stun activation that keeps u for stunned for as long as a lee sin kick keeps you in the air maybe even more..

He may have high damage but a lot of it is delayed. The second part of his laser is the part you want to avoid, his stun requires the opponent to sit in it before they become stunned, and his ult has the large part of its damage spread out over its duration. He is also a scaling midlaner with an expensive first item that he has to have 1250g for before he can buy as there are no components to it. He is far from broken.

homing ulti? veigar ult does so much more and is a homing ult.... High damage? lux only needs to use one ability and an aa to proc t lords... Syndra can one shot an adc way sooner than a victor can..... point is, he's not broken.
