Ignorant comments about "solo queue."

Somebody made a post earlier about the majority of the player base enjoying dynamic queues, the people who do not approve are just more vocal. Let me start by saying that it has been stated repeatedly by Riot Lyte and other members of Riot on many occasions, if you are a jerk they do not want you in their community. This is a paraphrased example of almost every person arguing for solo queue.

  2. Statistics? From where?
  3. Not true.
  4. All of your arguments are incoherent random thoughts that all spiral into one terrible run-on sentence that is only barely translated into something that can be understood.

You people are quickly making your own stereotype, that is basically just a group of ignorant toxic players. If I worked at Riot I would not care one bit about any of your comments because you aren't wanted here anyway.

So I have some advice for you.

Don't be a jerk.

Find sources for your alleged "statistics."

-Let me enlighten you, a strawpoll that says " this or that" means nothing if the players voting do not understand the consequences. How many players would still vote for an additional queue if it meant losing something they value? In addition, a strawpoll from reddit is a grossly inaccurate sample size and completely biased toward whatever group of people it was presented to.

Create a constructive thread where an actual discussion can take place.

-This is how you create actual change, put aside for a moment demands, threats, and vulgarity to actually share ideas and challenge people's opinions.

If you cannot figure out how to translate your thoughts into a discussion, have a friend do it for you, because anything that looks like the above example, personally I would instantly downvote and not even waste my time trying to make sense of it.

-I do not even know how people arrive at some of the garbage they post, so Ill just give an example. If I want solo queue : "Riot said adding an additional queue could cause long wait times and lower quality matches, how can we fix it?"

It did occur to me that the title of this post is misleading, while I am completely against solo queue, the point here is the toxic and ignorant nature of most of the posts people are making, not the actual topic of solo queue.

There was a straw poll going around with some 300k votes that was roughly 58% prefer solo queue and 42% prefer dynamic queue.

People are welcome to post their opinions too. For every thread of some toxic person whining, there is a thread of a person legitimately asking for solo queue with good reasoning. There are also a lot of non-vocal solo queue supporters. The thing is that the solo queue supporters have been spread out - some complained immediately but many were pacified by Riot saying they'd release a solo queue later. As time passed more and more stopped believing there'd be a solo queue and started complaining on the boards (and a lot are just upset that they were lied to). Now that Riot has openly stated that there may not be a solo queue ever coming back and that they think Dynamic queue is the way forward, a lot of people are understandably frustrated as it isn't what we were told it would be.

I can honestly say that I see duo's or more in a large majority of my games. You can easily tell now from club tags. I don't enjoy it for a variety of reasons I won't get in to as I've posted them elsewhere. I'm allowed to voice that opinion - it may have a slim chance of helping me get what I want (a solo queue option), but a slim chance is better than no chance at all!

It would divide the playerbase in half [at least]. Queue times in both would be insane. Match quality would suffer greatly. Riot made an entire post highlighting numerous reasons they do not feel it is healthy to introduce it when they don't even have dynamic queue where they want it yet.

As someone who sits in queue for up to 20 minutes a game as it is, for questionable matches at best, I would probably quit and find a new game.

I believe the straw poll was arguing that solo queue was BETTER than dynamic queue. I.e. get rid of Dynamic queue, don't hold both.

Riot / you also potentially overstate the consequences. There's no consequence if no solo player goes in to Dynamic queue - for solo players at least. Because Dynamic queue will never find a game and solo queue will be the only option, so even if Dynamic exists solo queue will be fine.

The hateful attitudes people display are due to how Dynamic Queue makes people feel. That's right F E E L.

People pursue entertainment that makes them FEEL good in some way. 2/3 of the community feel that they are not treated fairly by the match making system. It makes them feel bad to play under these conditions and they communicate those feelings in unpleasant ways. Good for them.

I personally have been researching each of my games and I agree with their FEELINGS.

I almost always have duos and often have trios that i am shackled with. I have counted many times that i play against 2 sets of duos on the enemy team and all solo players on my team.

People FEEL it isn't fair. So, that means it isn't fair. Perception is reality.

People don't want something new. They want what they have been paying for and enjoying for years to return.

I play this game every day almost and keep up with the news but I had NO CLUE they wouldn't have a Solo Queue. They basically changed the foundation of the game for everyone without even thinking of how it effects us.

Feels bad man, real bad.

Customers aren't a right, you don't get to keep them if you make them feel bad.

The rest of you post doesn't facilitate a discussion in anyway, just a random outburst of rage.

"Customers aren't a right, you don't get to keep them if you make them feel bad." - Game is free to play, you are not a customer. You absolutely have the right to not play or not purchase anything. That point does not support your argument in any way.

This post is a prime example of you not wanting to have a discussion, but rather just babyrage.

If you want to talk about facts? Riot stated that creating a second queue could potentially devastate the health of both queues in both quality and queue length.

There have been several of these, the numbers range from 60% to 66% in favor of solo queue.

It is a product people want.

Would you rather? A: Please Riot use your limited resources to work on the health and stability of a single queue. B: Please Riot use your limited resources to split the playerbase into two completely seperate queues with significantly longer waits and lower match quality.

You are right, I think Riot should change their entire company to make decisions only based on a biased uninformed opinion of less than a fraction of the league community. Just kidding.

Somebody doesn't know how polls work. Somebody likes to complain about how people communicate in forums and then does exactly the same thing in their own. Somebody got a fact or two just like they wanted and didn't like the result. Somebody is pointing out toxic motes in eyes while ignoring toxic beams in their own. Somebody is licking a certain game company's nut sack in hopes of what...?

I am amused by you, you should keep begging to get on DQ teams and make a friend.

The one example you provided was biased, worded incorrectly, and held only one fraction of one fraction of the community's opinion. Have a better example or did your argument die?

Passive aggressive statements to provoke a response that you can pick apart without furthering any part of the conversation is a tactic of a "forum troll".

I would like to point out that although it seems your post is made in frustration(as most are actually, given the nature of feedback, there is very little neutral), however, I would like to point out that by targeting even a generic version of an offending player, it actually encourages toxicity and a reactive outlash in response.

I have seen many complaint threads and I browse them for useful conversation and attempts to share genuine advice for playing the game, but even I am offended by this thread because it "downvotes", as a polite way of putting it, any outcry against the current state of the game.

Players are crying for feedback and many have presented essays of content for the same posts...people are just getting tired of not getting a response where the players can actually see it or not getting a response at all for the issues the game is stumbling upon, varying across divisions but several are universal

if I might make a suggestion, perhaps provide the reasoning behind each point on the list that you made so that instead of each point sounding like a demand, it instead might encourage others to follow by example?

It was actually just meant to be helpful, there are a lot of people that seem to want to be heard but don't understand that having a temper tantrum is the fast track to be ignored. Appreciate the advice, will add.

There is nothing passive aggressive about anything I have stated. I bluntly stated that your opinions, and more importantly the majority of those posting "demands" for an additional queue option, are based on complete ignorance. Not unlike most of them, instead of doing research for themselves or looking to start a discussion, you resort to childish personal attacks when anyone challenges your opinion.

I do not have to pick anything apart, because my only point was that people are being ignorant and toxic about their posts and not facilitating a discussion that could actually lead to an idea Riot could use to benefit your cause. Every post you have made thus far has been ignorant and/or toxic, what is left for me to pick apart when you just repeatedly prove my only point?

Try having a discussion friend. One absent of emotional outbursts and fits of rage. Absent of threats, demands and vulgarity. In your discussion perhaps you could challenge someone else's opinion! Maybe an exchange of ideas like adults could lead to something greater!
