Is Azir Viable

So recently i got Azir and i was excited to play him since he has a high Skill cap and it's fun to master hard champs. I then realized how can Azir do anything if he can get melted by carries fairly easy. Especially MF in which her ult deals a sht ton of damage now. Am i playing Azir wrong or is he actually not viable? I understand Azir is a very tough champ out there, but i need feedback.
