Can opinions be wrong?

I was inspired by another thread where a gentleman was down voted for saying "opinions can be wrong." I felt the irony needed its own discussion.

Lets take this opinion: Hitler did nothing wrong. If you hate jews and people and enjoy genocide then obviously you agree with the rioters that no opinion is wrong.

Edit: This was meant to be in general discussion forum. Sorry.

No, but we don't have to like it.

Opinions, inherently, are personal judgments and therefore cannot be wrong. They can, however, be based on false information, misunderstandings, or merely be unpopular.

Now, an opinion is something that you believe. Merely saying "I believe the sky is green" for arguments sake is not stating an opinion. If you are, however, blind to some degree or have a different idea of colors (being taught blue is green, for example), then you are stating an opinion based on false information. The opinion itself is not wrong, but the information leading you to that opinion is, and you should be willing to revise your opinion when you encounter additional knowledge.

Me saying "Zed isn't broken" is an opinion - one that is probably not very popular currently.
