It has been two years
Two goddam years.
Yesterday I went to a game, and after using my W to clear the wave, I went to lasthit that one minion that had ignored the damage. Wait... there is... no minion? Like... they all died? All of them got hit by my AoE ability, and I cleared a wave as intended?
During these 24 months, I have developed this weird reflex when playing
, after using my W to clean the wave, I take a few steps back to lasthit the minions that survived due to the bug, and finish them with my E. I have grown so used to it that it's a reaction as natural as flashing when you see that 4 charge 800 AP Annie comming towards you.
At first, it was just a little annoyance, but has time passed, I started to take it for granted, and modified my playstyle to addapt to this bug. And now it's finally gone, and I can't explain this weird feeling, but it's mostly positive, so... Thanks Riot? I guess?
The purpose of this post isn't to create a circlejerk about how unplayable X champion is. I would prefer if we did something constructive. Even with all it's bugs, I love
, because he can be an amazing champion to play, I love the things I experiment when I swing my sweet enchanted mace towards that
's face. So I want you to talk about that little thing that feels so fantastic, so thicc, and that you have loved since you started to play X champion, and how it affects your game experience, because League of Legends is all about the game experience. The feel of it. Each champion has it's own taste, little fragments of personality you can experiment with your mouse and keyboard (or PS4 controller if you are a certain madman in a maid cosplay).
The increasing speed and flow of
's Pow-Pow, the recoil of Fishbones, which makes each shot so impactful by limiting your mobility just by a fraction of second, the adrenaline rush of Get Excited!
The inertia of
's ultimate, the feeling of being in dis/control of this massive behemoth. The duality of satisfaction and frustration that comes from mixing irresistible power and lack of precision.
Everything about
.
: BONK! Also ghosts (when they are somewhat functional)
Why do you love this game?
