I'm trying to learn a new role. What champions would you suggest that are good right now?

I stopped playing LoL for about a season, and I've been trying to build a roster of champions that are decent and enjoyable.

So far the only one that's stuck is an unorthodox AP Support Anivia with Tank Support Alistar as a backup if the lane matchup is bad or we just really need a tank.

While I don't exactly struggle to get the Support role in ranked, I'm trying to find a secondary role.

I dislike mobile and durable champions in favor of ones that need careful positioning, and Riot at some point reworked all the champions I liked into something I have no interest in.

To the point, what champions would you recommend trying to learn now?

I want to start off on the right foot, and jungle Hecarim just isn't cutting it.

Zyra

Ahri

Heimerdinger

Viktor

Ziggs

Zilean

Lux

Kennen

..and Teemo to name a few that match your criterion.

But honestly, Riot has consistently shown that it hates these types of champions and only Lux is good for solo queue and Kennen when you're in a coordinated group.

I can give a few based on role, I too enjoy immobile champions and do well with them.

Mid : Vel'koz / Lux / Brand / Zilean ( If you like being heavy utility and less carry ) / Viktor

Top : Lissandra ( Can mid too )

Support : Zyra / Lux again / Nami / Annie

If you want to get into ADC, Cait is a nice starting point but a lot of them have mobility that are currently popular.

I don't know enough in terms of jungle to comment much, maybe a Kindred but she hops quite a bit in a fight.
