Can Morg PLEASE get a new passive?

Characters with innate Spell Vamp like Morgana orAhri will retain it on their kits as we can actually balance that.

Since Riot is removing spellvamp, can Morgana please get a new passive? They said here that she will retain it in her kit, as will Ahri (Who I'm pretty sure just has a straight up heal on her passive, not spellvamp).

Even if it is just a rewording of Morgana's passive, it just feels so underwhelming. 20% Spellvamp is nice and all, but it just feels so outdated of a passive. I think a simple change that wouldn't change her playstyle all the much, but would help create a more clearly usable passive is if instead of giving 20% spellvamp, her passive healed her for a % (25-30) of all damage dealt to champions. This would make it so that she could effectively heal off of all her spells, other than just her q (or w in full minion waves), and would give her a nice bit of survivability when she is all-inning with her ult. The trade off to this of course, would be that lane Morgana loses quite a bit of sustain if she is not playing aggressive and repeatedly landing the q-w combo.

TL;DR: With new spellvamp changes, Morgana's passive should be updated.

I don't really know what else you could put in for morg though. I saw someone once suggest a mana burn passive on spell hit applied to an enemy champ, but that seems like it could get pretty broken. I'd run it just to see how well it goes. Morgana is all about subjugating the opponent and I feel like a mana burn would work, but I never really see the spell vamp doing me much good in lane either.

While I think a mana burn would be cool and great thematically, I think any abilities affecting mana is kind of broken (Old mana battery Soraka).

I don't mind that she has a heal on her passive... but it's just so boring. I mean to be fair I do use it a lot in lane, and it does give morgana a lot of sustain, especially at later levels, but I wish she had something more thematic.

I mean, the whole thriving off their pain thing kinda suits the dominatrix kit she has. So spellvamp kinda makes sense, but like you mentioned already, it's an incredibly boring passive. You can tell Morgana has been around a while because her passive and spells aren't textbooks long to describe

Riot doesn't like the idea of mana burn, or at least they didn't a long time ago when they removed it from item 3091

Ahri doesnt have spellvamp lol, it just says it heals her for damage dealt, no spellvamp in that magic healing involved whatsoever.

I know, which Is why I was really confused when they said that her "Spellvamp" would be retained.

Spellvamp is only being removed from items though?

Better healing on W means more unavoidable healing with no counterplay.

With a bit of mana+mregen Morgana can stay in lane for an absurd amount of time--whatever damage she takes can be healed back up just by patiently nuking the waves, and her E+Barrier summoner spell make her absurdly hard to gank when she does. It's not a bad passive at all for a champ who can shove their lane so hard.

Edit: I generally send her mid

I'm not saying that her passive isn't useful, in fact im pretty sure I said somewhere that it gives her good sustain in lane, but it's just really boring, and doesn't offer much tactical decision. The only time I ever think about my passive is if I'm low I might throw my w on raptors or a wave while roaming or escaping or whatever. Other than that, it's just kind of "Morg is strangely tanky"
