S qualifications???? what are they??

hey Riot and community. i wanted to know what was the deal with getting S grades? like i want to know why i sometimes don't get an S even though I should qualify for one? even when other team mates get an S- or higher i have done much better than them with more kills, less deaths, and more cs but they still end up with the S instead of me. why is that??? is it an issue that still hasn't been resolved? are there requirements that i don't know about? please enlighten me. (posted this in wrong Sub-Section twice XD kms that's embarrassing lmao)

its determined by what champ you are playing and where you are playing him such as if you play bard top lane and dont feed you will have a higher shot of getting and S than bard support its also easier to get an S on a not as played often champ such as urgot than a champ that is always played like lee sin. the second thing is CS is actually worth a lot more than your kills and assists for anyone other than support(they need wards placed/destroyed). The third thing is your deaths have to be low since going 12-12 is not impressive but going 12-2 is.

So recently I've been trying to get Fiora to level 7. I've had games where I've gone 21/3/18 and only have gotten an S- and had around 130 cs. I've also had a game where I went 6/1/7 with around 250 cs and got an S rank. So CS and objectives are a huge part of getting an S. For supports who normally can't get a lot of cs, I recommend split pushing mid game to get some.

CS isn't factored heavily for supports. It seems that wards and assists and are the biggest factors.

I'm assuming you're starting this thread based on your recent katarina game. you had 7 deaths and 3.5 cs/m. trynd had over 6 cs/m.

yes if Trynd got an S i would understand more but even then it was Ezreal who got an S-. why is that???

The system compares you to other players who have used the same champ in the same role. It then factors in a number of things - CS, K/D ratio, objective & kill participation, total dmg, etc. If you play that champ (in that role) better than other players have, you will get a higher score.
