Another option is to just rework it into something else that actually works with his kit. Jarvan is a fighter who either goes full AD and straight up 100-0's carries or goes a bruiser-esque build and still does like....half of a carries health as a diver while living a bit longer to provide a bit more CC (multiple E-Qs and such). At no point did I ever think "man it is a good thing I had my W to slow either a dead man or a knocked up enemy while barely saving me with its minuscule shield!"
