I have been thinking about getting a 4800 IP champion, and I narrowed it down to either Vlad or Swain. Idk who I should get. They both have crazy sustain and lifesteal, and they do TONS of damage, but who has the better gameplay? In your opinion, pls tell me who is better. Thanks.

Vlad is MUCH easier to play with. He has no resources, so he can stay in lane as long as he wants. His W and E cost health, but one you only use as an escape (don't ever use it chase someone unless it's a guaranteed kill, aka no flash) and the other is for clearing waves after level 10. He gets tankier as he builds stronger and he has potential to do a lot of damage in a fight because everything he does will proc his spell vamp. But getting kills with him is reliant on enemies underestimating his damage, he can't stick to a person.
Swain on the other hand I prefer. Yes he has mana issues the whole game (please..don't ever buy tear on him...he does not work) but it's because he's crazy powerful. He has a slow and a root, both last several seconds. Her E is basically a selfish Vladimir Ultimate in that it powers up all of his damage on that target. Honestly Swain has more damage and more sustain, but because of mana he can run out and be stuck doing nothing in a fight. His last hitting is hard as well.

LadyRenly2 votesI'd say Swain is the safer bet. He has better team fight presence, too. Vlad only has his ult, but Swain has his W and his birds. Swains signature technique is to ignore all the enemies, run around in a circle, zhonyas when dived, and get kills because of the birds. I find it kind of amusing.

kJs1 votesVlad is easy and has almost as much tanking potential and damage as Swain. Vlad's ult helps turn teamfights really quickly though. I think he contributes more damage potential to his team than Swain. Swain is really strong on his CC and self sustain considering that he can Zhonyas while ulting.
Alscendal1 votesGet Swain. He does good early and even if he falls apart he can still tank and do decent dmg. Vlad's dmg is alright. If you fall of early, it is hard to come back.
Dracid1 votesnot sure what these other people are talking about. Vlad is 100% better than Swain, especially with the tank meta right now. There is a reason why Vlad is picked in LCS and Swain isnt

imo Vlad is a bit more straightforward, Swain is honestly one of the champions that confuse me (and I wouldn't be surprised if he got reworked at some point). Just play the one you like more
