Just realized that the Taric rework and Lee Sin have the same passive.

If you ignore all the differences between Taric and Lee Sin they are actually the same champion.
Lee Sin's passive doesn't scale with armor and Taric's passive doesn't restore energy.
Just because they act slightly different doesn't mean much. They're both just cast and get two sped up auto attacks, repeat.
Then... Udyr and Ezreal have the same passive. Riven and Lucian have the same passive. Anivia and Zac have the same passive. Vi and Shen have the same passive. etc.
Uydr get's ms and attack speed from casting abilites, ez jsut gets attack sped for attacking enemies with abilities.
Riven get's an enhanced Auto attack while Lucian get's an extra auto attack.
Zac get's health back from abilities and a revive, Anivia just revives phoenix style.
Vi has to attack an enemy to get her shield Shen just get's a shield after casting.
Lee Sin casts an ability and gets two free autos, Tarics casts an ability and gets 2 free autos.
The stat change they bring doesn't mean anything since it's just a pitch on their champions. If you put it on a blank champion they'd be the same thing.
As you said, 'they act slightly different'. Vi and Shen is my bad example tho, forgot about the part that Vi has to attack the enemy >.>
It's up to you as Nasus's opponent to beat him by interacting with him directly, while it's up to him to win by avoiding interaction whenever possible.
I would still count this as 'acting slightly different'.
They don't share the same purpose, Taric has to actively attack between casts and Lee sin actually never does.
Hmm,
(insert lee Sin is broke joke here)
Ya they seem similar but function very differently.
lee sin's passive is intended to regent energy in combat, a key part of the energy system, and is not intended to be a significant damage source. Tarics new passive is intended to help manage taric's insane cool downs and add armor scaling damage to all of his attacks.
