Rapid Extreme Rank Ups and Downs

I'm not complaining about my rank position here I primarily only play ranked to have a more consistent challenge than normals offer. I am however curious about a pattern that repeats over and over again:

  • When I finished my initial placements I was Silver III and crashed down to Silver V (0 LP) quickly.

  • At Silver V 0 LP I rose almost straight back to Silver III 0 with about an 80% win rate from when I started to climb at Silver V (0 LP).

  • As soon as I hit Silver III 0 LP I switch to about an 80% lose rate all the way back down to Silver V (0 LP) again.

  • This cycle has repeated 3 times now (half way through my 4th), the descent begins the moment i hit Silver III. I've been in the division 4 times now and have only ever won a single game in that division (It did have an afk on the opponents team and we almost lost the 4v5 even.)

I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on a reason for this sharp rise and fall pattern over an over again?

(The win rates %, MMR, KDA etc. I get from lolnexus or op.gg. My overall winrate has always been sub 50% sometimes by quite a bit )

In researching it seems the common explanation is my MMR is rapidly rising and I'm facing opponents that are beyond my skill level suddenly. However this doesn't quite seem to be the case because I monitor my MMR on external sites and the strange thing is that even when my MMR crashes into a range where it's placing me with mid to high bronze (MMR and Rank) at the bottom of my descent back down the games feel just as hard as they did when I'm at my peak rank 3 divisions higher until my climb begins again.

If it was MMR raising wouldn't games in very low silver V where it's grouping me with multiple bronzes feel easier then games in Silver III? It's almost a straight decline to Silver V (0 LP) and the games feel consistently challenging the whole way down.

Psychologically I feel the same and I don't tilt. I don't blame my team or get upset about loses, don't type much at all really. I have a routine and play LoL at certain times just for fun, feel pretty much the same about it every time and I do think I've grown a bit as a player as the first time this cycle went through I was pretty fresh back to LoL after many years. When I'm rising the games are completely easy and it feels like I can outplay anyone in the rank consistently and when I'm falling the games feel unwinable like I'm completely outmatched and outclassed.

I know these ranks don't matter much but I can pretty consistently S rank almost every game with an (overall) KDA of 5-7 while i'm climbing and C / B all the way my way down with a (overall) KDA of 2-3 because the games are so hard fought. To show how rapid the climb and descent is, I've been able to hit Silver III and still have my Silver V (0 LP) demotion shield protection icon on my ranking screen.

To conclude, I'm pretty sure I'm not tilted as I don't really worry about my rank and it's all just for fun for me. I think of it like normals. I do focus on a small champion pool that I have a lot of experience with but I switch up roles or primary champions sometimes after I flatline at Silver V (0 LP) to swtich it up. As a last reminder I'm not discontent with my rating or looking in this post for ways to improve it's just that by the 3rd time+ this pattern is starting to look very strange.

Anyone have any ideas for what could cause this?

Yes and the anwser the shit is completly rigged. I was 3-1 lp off plat promo where i would stop and let it sit for a while. But ahem no i get 1 -3 lp off the game to get promo i get complete trolls and feeders who blame each other and just dont know the mecanics of the game warding objectives over kills map awareness have fun getting no luck in match making "trying " to climb ive looking on op.g where ive got silvers facing all plats for plat wtf. we all need it but the level they take it to is fuckin disgusting and worth going to jail for. that being said gl wasting ur time trying to climb a rigged ass system just like politics where. IF it was easy anyone could do it. WEll it is actually easy and anyone can do it. So they make a president to stop people so they stay low rank not changing there lifestyle to become a god league player why. Because the player base is there money locked. LETS JUST FUCK OVER THE CONSUMERS UNKNOWINGLY TO THEM THAT THEY CANT EVERY REALLY CLIMB its fuckin sad and worth getting shot like i said.
