Petition to fire CertainlyT.

Let's be honest. His champions are cancer, he has no responsibility for what he's done, which we can see through the magnificent learning curve resembling a graph of rainjacket sales in a Phoenix July, and he causes his company huge headaches fixing the messes that creep through PBE. Now, I'm not arguing that his champions are unbalanced. That's not his fault. I'm saying his champions are feast or famine toxic nightmares that make the balance team's days full of suck. Worst of all, they're all CoD bullshit champions fun for one person and one person only; that one player. And god forbid these champions not get stupidly fed, because then it isn't even fun for the guy playing them, at which point the champion is so frustrating for them to play that they inevitably devolve into some form of subhuman angerbaiting neckbeard extraordinaire. Long story short, his champions are overloaded, making them a nightmare to balance, they produce a negative player environment for the people playing them and for the people playing against them, and they've repeatedly been very, very poorly received by the League community. So, here it is. All you have to do is click "Yes" on the poll. Low investment. Do it, and end this nightmare stream of poop. C'mon. Do it.

I personally think he shouldn't be allowed to work for Riot anymore, but they need to at least move him away from champ design to something that he can't ruin the balance of the game with. It's not just the numbers of his release champs, their kits are so fucking overloaded they're ridiculous. They're all monsters to play against because of how damn powerful the combination of their kits + their numbers are. Toning down the numbers is a band-aid on top of toxic, unbalanced champ design.

To be honest I didn't know who he was or what he was responsible for until kalista. Then I typed his name into google and found the league wiki at the top. read into what he has created and thought back on those releases. Outside of zyra(joined effort) I can't think of a single champ he has made that wasn't nerfed first patch after release. Darius, thresh, zed, yas, kalista soon. He really doesn't seem to have an understanding of what the flow of the game is/should be.

I honestly thought he created Lee Sin. With all the mobility, no cooldowns, low risk high reward style of play he currently has.

I don't want his job to be taken away, rather I would like to see them(riot) make these designers work in well organized teams... and for gods sake actually listen to feedback in PBE.

When I bring up OP champs to a friend of mine his response is always that its Riots business model to release a champ over powered to get that fast influx of cash, and then nerf soon after.

I really like his champions and tbh they aren't as overloaded as people pretend they are.... just people that don't understand how to counter play them

I feel like Yasuo doesn't deviate at all from the patterns I suggested.

CertainlyT didn't do anything wrong aside from raping balance team's head

A kit isn't overloaded because it has extra words under the skills... its called complexity. Some people enjoy champions with a little complexity

Are you high? Extra damage, CDR, etc. aren't just words. Giving champs stats on their skills they're supposed to build towards is incredibly dumb, and gives them too much power compared to older champs that don't have the advantage of being newer.

Should he be fired? No. Should more revision go into his final drafts for champion kits? You bet your ass. I'm just sick of how overloaded all of these new kits are. Champions have a passive, 3 normal skills, and an ultimate, but it seems that as of late, champ designers are content with stuffing as much stuff into those 5 spaces as humanly possible.

Then again, the cynical half of me thinks Riot has no problem with CertainlyT because if his champs are OP on release, it just means more sales from kiddies who want to abuse them as much as possible before eventually getting nerfed.

CertainlyT has created the most innovative and fun champs. Without him we wouldn't have had so many unique champs this year. Though many were created by other designers, he laid the groundwork for the environment that allows designs like gnar, azir, and braum to exist.

I was OK with all his champions until Kalista. Kalista is going too far CT.

As much as I hate some of CertainlyT's champs, you want to take away someone's job because you're dissatisfied with a couple champs?

Demanding someone loses their job because you disagree with their design philosophy. Wow...you're really a PoS.

His work on Morde makes the argument in and of itself. He takes an awesome burst midlaner and tries to force him into some useless bot lane melee carry with the W change. What the bloody hell is with that?

SlashStriker6/3/2016, 11:59:45 AM1 votes

Considering that Certainly made quite unique champions suggesting to fire him is kinda stupid.

For instance Yasuo can be very frustrating champion for most people but for me as Yi main i don't have such a problem. If he is about to land tornado on me I just use Alpha Strike to counter him and kill him

Certainly also made thresh that is most picked champion as support and I don't see many people hating on Thresh

Hahaha, it's funny because Yasuo
