Why can Ekko be kited so easily?

Why can't he lock down an ad carry or a sqishy in a 1v1 unless hes fed. He's an assassin and he can be kited so easily? What about champions like , all assassins that can easily reach their opponent. I hate playing Ekko he needs a rework his kit is so bad and its so annoying to play him.

The issue is... if he cant one shot you with his EQ combo, he gets kited then hes dead, or he just has to ult.

Increase his dash range or allow his E to apply a slow?? PLease riot!!

Ekko can win you a game with a big W play and that is far flashier and less toxic than what other assassins (ult-kill you) can do. So eventually when other bursty stuff fades from meta, Ekko will still be around doing his thing.

You have a slow, Ekko's passive speeds him up when he procs it AND you have a stun on top of that, while his E's cooldown is rather low once you put a few points in it and have CDR.

Ekko's kit is fine. You are asking for Riot to break him. Ekko's consistently been balanced since Riot nerfed Tankko out of existence (considering his last actual nerf was well over two years ago).

If you want a slow on top of your slow, buy a Rylais.

Have you guys tried playing an Ekko into a Vayne or a Caitlyn. Its either you one shot them or you die. Zed, katarina, and mony other assassins can do this easily with their several gap closers. I just wish Ekko's E wasnt his only form of engage, dashing in makes you very vulnerable to crowd control. Ad carries like caitlyn have high range and your E will never even be in range so you will get kited! They call Ekko an assassin but hes not living up trust me I play so many games and he''s only useful when he has a lead unlike Zed or Katarina who still easily 1 shot on adc from behind. I simple fix is for his E range to increase as he levels it up just saying.

Ekko has a slow, a stun, a ms steroid and 2 dashes.

If you are having problems sticking to a target with THAT much, that’s more of a player problem than a champion problem.

ekko can knock out midlane to lower degree after the season changes. with champions like brand and yasou doing so much late game damage the only way is to counter jungle and get early kills or he gets stuffed.

The main Issue occurs when a champion only has 1 damage source. His ultimate is ruled out in a quick 1v1 becuase its 4 seconds behind him, so he is left with his 3 hit passive. It either kills the enemy or it doesnt then he has to wait 5 seconds where he will ultimately just die, most of the time he cant even ult if he's cced. ALL the other assassins have kits that yell Damage. Zed has his WEQ combos, and his Ult. Katarina has her passive, her dagger, and her ult, leblanc has her q, w, AND R. Why is ekko the only assassin that is 3 hit based? Only other champ I can think of with a 3 hit passive for damage is vayne and guess what IT HAS NO COOLDOWN XDD.

His Q slows.

His W stuns.

His E dashes him and lets him teleport to a target.

His passive gives him a speed boost when he hits a champion three times.

How are people kiting you? Are you not using your abilities?

Take Phase Rush if you're really having issues.

Ekko trades raw burst damage for sustained damage. That's always been his thing. He can't 100-0 people, but he can stay in the fight longer than other assassins and keep dishing out damage.

ekko is more of a utility assassin like how pyke is kinda, who can stun enemies even when behind so he isnt useless late game lets say your trolling and pull a frozen mallet build with gunblade or item 3030 he can do ALOT of utility with all that if you include what he can naturally do without all these items.

He only really has one engage tool & that's his E. I've often found it annoying that he doesn't feel much like an assassin, but I don't know what they can do or what they should change about him without breaking him or reducing his efficiency as a character that has a lot of his kit tied into his lore.

here is a cool trick you can use if you are having trouble locking people down. If the enemy is at least pretty AD heavy after Protobelt and Lich back pick up a dead mans plate (adds more damage to your E, gives a slow, and you move even faster) I wouldnt suggest it unless the enemy team is heavy on the AD side though. Other than that you can get a dark seal early and if you get 10 stacks after you have protobelt and Lich Bane you can upgrade to Mejais and no one can catch you or get away from you.

What u seemingly want (straight burst 100-0) is anathema to what Ekko essentially was designed to be. He’s a skirmisher, he thrives in prolonged fights. It’s obly if he’s really ahead that he will straight up delete. Other than that... ur not playing him properly, his W is lockdown enough (aoe stun that shields) . His Q has quite decent range and also slows, W has a big range both on cast and the zone itself, slows, shields, and stuns providing u predicted/manipulated events for u to get in position, E is a decent sized dash and blink, ult is a tp that does massive damage and heals. You can set it up in advance so it’ll hit enemies, or u can just use it as an escape. It also procs w’s stun. A good Ekko works best not on reacting, but by predicting and/or directing people into where he wants them to be.
