Make Autofill Optional
I queue for the roles I want to play. I don't care if it takes longer, if I want a quicker queue I'll enable it.

They already have that in the game. It's called just "fill".
That defeats the entire purpose of autofill.
And it’s not just you that has to wait longer, it’s the 9 other people wanting to play a game too.
Have you considered learning more than 2 roles? I'm a support main but I can play at least two champs in every other role. Fill/ Autofill doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is 8+ minute queue times and then people dodging and complaining that they didn't get what they want.
If you don't want to get autofilled, play support once in a while. Or enjoy the change in pace. Be glad you have a support at all, let us not forget the griefing garbage that is blind pick with the "NO I CALLED IT FIRST" and then you end up with 4 AP carries and an afk.
tl:dr: IF autofill is so devastating to you, you shouldn't be playing draft mode. You should know at least one of each other role before getting there. Grow up.
I'd have to agree.
If the majority of the playerbase wants the role they have selected, shouldn't they be allowed to do that?
Besides, if this "muh queue timers 2 long" becomes a significantly big enough of a problem, won't people just go back to enable it evantually?
I completely fail to see how making autofill optional is harmful in anyway.
