An ADC role variations discution.
Hi, i want to share my view to the ADC role pick. ADC has always been a specific consistent role in every game played. and unlike any other role it has a pretty specific champs do almost the same job with some differences.
however when compared to other roles it has the lowest impact on counter picks/or picking according to enemy comp. exmp: if i would play jungle and my team has many burst damage dealers i might go for a tank catcher (naut. etc). while if my team mostly relay on initiating and tanking while lacking damage i might consider an assassin or a diver to fulfill the damage gap (kaz, VI). if enemies are stacking tanks i might go for a tank destroyer late game champ (yi can do it ). and if enemies are gathering single damage output assassin style i can pick us another support or warden or enchanter ( Ivern ,
on the contrary ADC role is pretty shaped on dealing damage in different ways lacking this diversity on demand. if enemy team has 2 assassins what can i pick as a safe adc? dealing less damage but at least surviving? (regardless of items) Ezreal? yeah he has a great escape but the lowest hp in game. lucian? can do but still struggles hard when it comes to 2 assassins or assassin and a diver focus leaving his with nothing to do. (protecting is the job of an enchanter or a warden yeah but i believe a champ should at least do it himself just in case your support were supporting someone else in trouble he isn't always there for you only right? team support i guess?) . what if enemies has a lot of stuns and CC ? sivir? she has a very short range if she spell shields a spell she might get cought into another. enemies with a multi tank comb? hyper carry? Jinx? kog?. need a safe long range ADC? Cait? but one long range ADC with a specific kit isn't enough. Trist? Twitich with R? all considerable but not constant.
i am here to give an idea of the point i see. think about it.
