Ranked has no individualism

Honestly, yeah, I know...I'm garbage at the game. I'm willing to accept that. But that's not an excuse for the amount of bullshit this ranking system uses. Soloque is supposedly catered to solo players who wanna climb on their own personal rank, but yet the game has yet to reward you for any kind of personal success. It doesn't matter if you cs well, keep good vision, show up to teamfights. You're not gonna climb if it's not a win. I don't play a lot of ranked, I only have 50 games put in. I'm play mostly normals (My intentions are to play much more ranked soon.) I can't speak for other soloque players, I know, but there's clearly a problem if people have an issue with how your "Ranking" system works if it's completely based on win/loss rather than the actual skill of a player. And yes, I know, I play a low wr champ...But honestly, why should you scrutinize me for having my own playstyle? Meta has always been dumb, and I hardly doubt people remotely LIKE metas. This game was based on fighting the meta when first released, now you have to ABUSE champs to climb rather than play who you like to play and are the best at. Back then, whoever had the most tanks won. Don't like the champ or the playstyle? Too bad, pick champ. Right now, from what I'm witnessing, the meta shifted to high damage early game champs that end the game quickly. Am I seriously not allowed to climb with the champ I learned and put so much practice into just because their early game isn't good? That's a load of crap! If you guys advertise your game as "Choose a champ, get a playstyle, and win with that," then you should enforce it rather than enforcing the idea of "Abuse this champ/item/strat for x amount of weeks/months until we make it useless." For the love of god, riot, don't FORCE someone to change their entire playstyle just because meta doesn't favor them.

Again, I know I'm low silver trash, but I should at least have a voice. I've been playing since season 5 (Took a long break in between season 6 and 7, never remembered that old account, but I still kept track on updates, changes, etc.) A rank shouldn't silence another one's opinion on the game.

The thing you have to realize is that wins and losses, for all their flaws, is the best measure of individual skill. It is less than ideal but there isn't much anyone can do to improve it (and the few changes that can be made such as positional rank is already coming next season).

But unique playstyles are rewarded, as long as they're successful. Presence of mind support velkoz was some of the most fun I had this season (rip old POM) since it worked and I could crush lane.

Now, in lower elo I feel like you're more likely to be flamed for off meta (till super high elo where playing suboptimal really punishes), but it's still doable and won't effect your climb as long as you're properly pulling it off.
